Well, the weather is warmer and many people are preparing for upcoming family parties including reunions and the ever-exciting weddings. In this brand new storybook, Lilly, the mouse, is thrilled when her teacher Mr. Slinger announces to the class that he will be marrying the school nurse, Ms. Shotwell. Immediately, Lilly assumes she will be the flower girl at the wedding. (If you know Lilly, this is not at all surprising!) At home, her parents remind her that she will not likely be chosen as the special attendant since there are so many children in the class, it would be difficult to choose one over the other. Lilly, with her strong personality, refuses to believe this. She goes about practicing how she will walk down the aisle and how she will hold the bouquet of flowers at the upcoming wedding.

Finally, Mr. Slinger breaks the news to Lilly that she will not be the flower girl but rather his niece, Ginger will. Seeing her disappointment, the teacher assigns her to be the ‘flower girl assistant’. As expected, Lilly takes this job very seriously and continues to practice her role diligently.

Lucky for the bride and groom that Lilly is so attentive as the wedding day bring s the dreaded jitters to young Ginger and she freezes as she is to walk down the aisle. Like a superhero, Lilly flies into action and saves the day.
