This is a first for our beloved Atlantic Canadian sweetheart poet, Sheree Fitch. Known for her tongue-twisting rhymes and nonsensical stories, this board book for babies is somewhat of a diversion. The text is more simple yet soothing for the youngest of readers.

Though the book is only 10 pages long, we experience the parts of the day that are familiar to babies, waking with the sun, bathing, feeding and back to sleep again. And at all points of the day, there are plenty of kisses to be lavished upon our adorable little bundles of joy.

Sheree Fitch has written oodles of books over the past twenty years including The Other Author Arthur, Mabel Murple, Pocket Rocks and The Gravesavers.

Hilda Rose is a graphic artist who has illustrated over a dozen children’s books.
