This looks GREAT! I love it!
Hi Mary Ann,
Do you carry the book “100 Photographs That Changed Canada” or something like that)? Thanks. Hope all is well.
Erin
Nice site! Do your shop have a copy of the book ‘ARTILLERY FLYERS AT WAR: A History of the 664, 665 and 666 Air Observation Post Squadrons of the Royal Canadian Air Force’? (Merriam Press, 2009). And, Happy New Year!
Hi Mary Ann,
I love the look of your new website. The photo of the boys reading is fabulous!
Thank you for continuously promoting my hockey books. I have a ton of fun writing them. “The Funny Faceoff” has just been nominated for a Shining Willow Award. Next fall, book four will be out– “The Rink Rats”. This time Tom and his Glenlake Hawks friends work together, maintaining an outdoor rink in Chinook Park. The story is filled with fun, friendship challenges and lots of hockey action.
All the best to you and your Benjamin Books team!

Hi Mary Ann,
I wanted to touch base with you, after speaking with Krishna Prince, the owner of Books Inn in Miramichi. She was in Saint John on business and stopped into your store. Our publishing division, Lightning Demand Press, owns an Espresso Book Machine (http://www.ondemandbooks.com/hardware.htm), and we do on-demand book printing for local authors, other book stores, and other publishers around eastern Canada. Our publishing machine, at present anyways, is only capable of printing soft cover titles. We can do out-of-print titles, but only if we have access thru them on our EspressNet software (there are around 3.5 million titles currently on the catalogue, including Google books and is forever expanding). We are also interested in working with other bookstores and the local authors within their respective cities to develop relationships for on-demand and short print runs for their literary works. This is a win-win situation for the bookstores, the authors and the Planet. It drastically reduces shipping costs, inventory costs and eliminates the need to pulp returned inventory. It allows bookstores to inventory more local interest content (for less inventory costs) and it allows authors to get their work published and printed as economically as possible. Should you feel there may be some opportunities to work together, I would certainly be happy to discuss further or meet with you sometime. Our website should be up and running shortly, check it out sometime. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Mary Ann,
Kristen’s book “Saint John and the Fundy Shore” is now out. It is a lovely looking little book with great content and photos by Rob Roy. We are so proud of Kristen. Remember when she first came to your book club back on the Hampton Rd? Anyway,
I recall that you were interested in carrying it in the store. Just wondering when you will be in so she can come by and show it to you. We appreciate your interest and of course your role in Kristen’s “literary development”!
Thanks
Sue
Hi Mary Ann,
Hope you are enjoying summer with the family. It is flying by.
Kristen has an interview with Candace McLean tomorrow for KV Style. Are you still interested in trying to do a book launch/signing before she goes back to school? If so you could give us a call at 847 0178.
Thanks Sue
Also, I would like to add (and I am sure you have heard this many times over!) that your staff were nothing but wonderful and accommodating with our book requests which made my job much easier!! Thank you to the ladies for the wonderful customer service! It’s nice to see it still exists.
Hi, I love your store and I was just wondering if you are currently hiring?
